A Little Late, but the Fourth of July

I was looking back through some of our old pictures and decided to type an entry about our trip to Nashville to see Brandon, Jill, Joshua and Aby for the Fourth of July.

They were so sweet to invite us down for the weekend. It worked out perfectly because I hadn't started working yet, and Ryan worked from home for his company in Houston. He was thus able to work from Nashville because all he needed was internet service. Anyway, we had so much fun. For any of you who have seen Ryan and his brother, Brandon, together, you know that there is always plenty of laughing involved.

On the afternoon of the Fourth, the boys played soccer. I caught this picture at one point, when Aby got stuck inside the house while Joshua and Wally were outside. It was too cute!

As the sun started to go down, we began shooting off some fireworks in the driveway. Poor Joshua doesn't like loud noises, so Jill had to keep his ears covered so he didn't get upset. We decided to save the bigger ones until after the kids went to bed. Wally, had gotten his paws muddy, so after Joshua and Aby took their baths for the night, Joshua helped Ryan give Wally's paws a bath.

After the kids went to sleep, we went back outside and shot off some more fireworks. Brandon shot one off that went up about five feet and then made a 90 degree turn and shot off toward one of the houses down the street. Luckily, it didn't hit anything, so no damage was done. It was a lot of fun hanging out as one big family.
