Caleb - 15 Months (WAY LATE!)

Ok, so I know this is pretty ridiculous to just now be posting this (considering it's now 9 months late!). I started these next few posts a long time ago but never got around to finishing them. Caleb turned 2 on Saturday, and I really want to post up-to-date stuff about him, but I'm forcing myself to first go back and finish these older posts first. Some of them are pretty incomplete and unfortunately I can't remember enough specifics about that time frame to expand on what I'd previously drafted, but at least it's something.

13 Months
During your 13th month, you got your first haircut. We took you to a children's salon in Wichita Falls for the big occasion. You handled it like a champ! You didn't fuss at all and sat perfectly still. It made me kind of sad afterward, though, because you looked so much older with your big boy haircut.

You LOVE your walker, and you now push other things around the house, including our kitchen table chairs and random toys.
You love to play with Wally and are slowly learning the meaning of "Be gentle." You haven't seen him for the last few months because your Gamgy kept him for awhile after we moved to Graham. You also now love to play in Wally's crate, as evidenced below. You went in the crate on your own AND closed the door while you were in there.

This was a big month for you because not only did you start walking by taking 5 steps on your own, but you also became a big brother!

14 Months
We finally had your one year pictures taken this month. I wish I could post some online, but we weren't able to have any digital proofs.

You learned to sign "More" and a couple times "Please". Instead of touching the tips of all fingers on both hands together to say, "more", you touch the tips of all fingers on your right hand to the palm of your left hand.

This month you were officially walking all over the place. Oh my, sweet Caleb, you are growing up way too fast!

15 months
The stats from your 15 month checkup were: 22lbs 9.5oz (21.47%), 31.25" long (52.97%) and 19" head circumference (79.01%).

On your 15 month birthday, your second bottom left tooth broke through, making 8 teeth! You're still a GREAT eater, and there's hardly anything you don't like.

Unfortunately, you had your first ear infection this month. You were so great, though, and didn't seem fussy at all.

The words you now say are: DaDa, MaMa, sssockkk (your favorite word, I think), no, for awhile you were saying sssoe for shoe but have stopped, ssss (cheese) and ba (ball). As far as animal sounds, you now make the sounds/motions of an elephant and a puppy. You have learned to sign "all done", which is great because now I know when you're finished eating. Your sign for "more" has now (often) evolved to tapping all your fingertips on one hand on your chest, and when you see a ceiling fan, you'll point your arm at it and move it around in a circle.

Caleb, you became such a big helper to me this month as you decided on your own to help unload the spoons from the dishwasher.

You really enjoy patting your belly, and you LOVE your baths and run to the bathroom whenever I ask you if you want to take one. You also LOVE shoes and socks and will often attempt to walk with my or your daddy's shoes on your feet.

Caleb, you are so very precious to us!
