We Did It!!

You may recall my post awhile back (see here) about the insane heat and drought we experienced this summer. Well, I got online this morning to check the weather (which actually forecasts rain and cooler temperatures!), and I found a fun little article. It's a list of Summer 2011's Five Suffering Cities. It's based on the US cities who have dealt with the most challenging weather this summer (including magnitude, severity and longevity). Anyway, I was not at all surprised to see that Wichita Falls, Texas was ranked #1 as having THE most challenging summer weather in the US this year. We don't actually live in Wichita Falls, but it's about an hour away from us and is the closest major city to us.

Click here to see the full article, or click here to just see the records that have been set in our area. One record, in particular, is setting a new record hottest daily low temperature...88! Yep, that was our LOW temperature on July 26...good times! Praise the Lord for the cooler temperatures we've had!!
