New Life

I just had to take a few minutes to write about how beautiful things are here in Louisville. Spring officially started yesterday, and there is evidence of new life all around. Everything is turning green again, and my favorite are all the daffodils. They're everywhere! It seems that everyone has these planted in their yard. We moved here at the end of May, so we haven't gotten to experience a Louisville spring yet. I was so excited to see that those dead plants in front of our townhome were actually beautiful daffodils. Every day there are more and more of them. They're gorgeous!

God has enabled me the past couple of mornings to get up early and go for a run through our neighborhood before starting my day. His creation is amazing! Being outside this time of year is just intoxicating. The smell of new life, the sound of birds chirping, the squirrels scampering about, the brilliant colors. I even saw a small rabbit hopping across the road ahead of me. This all reminds me of God's goodness and the new life we have in Him. That though we were dead in our flesh, Christ has given new life to those who love Him.

I also need to mention that my sweet husband has planned a surprise anniversary trip for us this weekend. I have no idea where we are going, but I am so excited to be celebrating five blissful years of marriage to the greatest man on earth. I'll be sure to tell all about it and post some pictures when we get back.
