Weekend Memories

Ok, so the last couple of weeks have been pretty chaotic, and I haven't had much time to blog.

To catch you up on what's been going on...well, Brandon and Jill came to visit the weekend before last, while Jill's mom kept the kids. It was so much fun spending time with just the two of them. (Don't get me wrong, we absolutely ADORE Joshua and Aby, but I think Brandon and Jill felt more free and there were just fewer distractions. Also, we've never gotten to spend much time together just the four of us.) Anyway, I had to work the majority of the time they were here, but we did get some precious time together on Sunday before they left.

The Lord has done incredible things through our relationship with them. He has grown it so much just since we moved here. It's been a blessing to more intimately develop our brother/sister relationships. We've loved being able to see Brandon, Jill, Joshua and Aby so much more--usually once a month or so.

Last weekend, our friends, Brian, Nancy and Ava, came to visit. As I've mentioned before, we met them in Houston, but then we moved here and they moved back to Louisiana. Anyway, it was so much fun spending time with them. They were able to visit Southern, our church and just get a good feel for what Louisville is like.

We haven't seen their precious daughter, Ava, since we left, and she was only a few months old then. She's adorable! Ryan and I have seen some of our friends (including the Roberts) teaching their children sign language so they can communicate what they want before they're able to talk. It's too cute! She's especially cute when saying, "more" and "please."

This is a picture of Ava showing me her new hat.

Anyway, we have been blessed beyond abundance by getting to spend this time with our friends and family. We love you!
