Silas, this was such a big month for you...new teeth, jumping in your jumperoo, crawling and pulling up!

For the first half of this month, you would go from a seated position and push forward onto your hands and knees, as if you were going to crawl. You would then move your hands forward (while your legs stayed still), which resulted in you laying on your tummy. Then you would do the exact same thing in reverse until you were back in the seated position. Over time, you somehow learned to move forward through a process of sitting, moving your hands forward, pulling yourself/leaning over onto your hands and sitting down beside them and then repeating the process.
On December 4, you officially started crawling. It may have taken you a little bit longer than Caleb and Evie to start crawling, but I can’t believe how quickly you got the hang of it! You awkwardly crawled for like half an hour and then you looked like you'd been doing it for months! As a result of your new mobility, you developed a fascination with the dishwasher and love to come pull spoons out of the silverware basket when it's open.

I love how when you’re just sitting there, and I say hi to you, you get so excited! You get this big grin on your face and will often (when you have your hands in your lap) rotate both your shoulders forward in this bashful/I can’t contain my excitement kind of way.
Another thing that I love but can't figure out how you do it is that you turn your tongue vertically in your mouth—maybe especially when you’re really happy. You’ll also flap your arms up and down over and over and make noise constantly when you get excited.
You're still a wonderful sleeper, which is a huge blessing for your mommy!
Your stats at your 9 Month checkup were: 20lb 3.4oz (45.26%), 28.5” (59.85%), head: 17.75" (43.9%), which puts you in almost the exact same percentages for Evie at this age. You were also the same length as Caleb, with about the same head circumference but weighed about a pound more. You mostly wear 6-12 or 9 Month clothes.
