My Sweet Husband

I just have to take a few minutes to dote on my husband. He's perfect!

Ryan is one of the most caring people you will ever meet. His heart for knowing others is incredible and unlike anyone I've ever known. Those of you who know Ryan have experienced the love he pours onto others. He genuinely wants to know people--their hearts, their experiences, their struggles.

He does such a good job taking care of me. One of the things lately that has made me fall deeper in love with Ryan is his attitude when I get home from work. When I walk in the door, he's typically busy fixing dinner. Ryan will kiss me and tell me to go upstairs and take a few minutes for myself. No one else may be able to appreciate this gesture, but at the end of an 11 hour work day, it's nice to change clothes and unwind right away. This is not to mention they fact that he's so sweet to try and have dinner ready for me right when I get home.

My husband has a wonderful sense of humor. He keeps me and everyone else laughing. We live in such a serious world full of responsibilities and stress, so I think laughter is one of the best things we can do for ourselves.

Ryan is such a godly man and has such a focus of discipleship and encouraging others. He is also brilliant and absolutely excels at everything he does, including seminary.

He is a servant and does whatever it takes to lighten my load, even when it means cleaning toilets. YUK!

It is said that most men stop romancing their wives once they get married. Well, Ryan is the exception to this rule. He is constantly thinking of ways to make me feel special. He is very thoughtful in planning weekend trips, birthday gifts, etc.

There is so much more I could say, but I will end this with a short prayer.

"Father, I praise your name for your love. That you would love me enough to send your only Son to die for my sins so that I might spend an eternity with you is beyond my comprehension. However, your love for me hasn't ended there. You created a man more perfect for me than I could ever possibly imagine. Ryan is my perfect complement, and I thank you for designing us for one another. Please continue to bless our marriage and our love so that it may glorify and honor you. In your precious and holy name I pray, amen."

Kelli - I am so happy for you and Ryan. Ya'll (yes i know you must be deprived of this word up there in Kentucky and all) are both so amazing and represent the epitome of what a marriage should be about. I miss you so much, but I know ya'll must be having the time of your lives! Tell Ryan I say hello and that he is so sweet for unsticking your car door when it snowed! Keep in touch and EnJoY Kentucky. I also want to hear all about work Kel.
Love,
Mandi
